RAW “Peanut” Butter Cup Smoothie
Raw “Peanut” Butter Cup Smoothie – healthy and delicious
The origins of the peanut butter cup smoothie…no someone wasn’t standing next to me and spilled their cacao in my tahini and a brief argument didn’t turn into a best selling candy. This recipe came about when I was experimenting with tahini and banana smoothies, I noticed a peanutbuttery aftertaste…mmmmMMMMmm. One thing I missed when I went raw was the occasional peanut butter sandwich, so when I noticed this I was really geeked up! The next logical step was “let’s throw some cacao in there!”. With a lil’ tweaking and a pinch of salt this became one of our favorite smoothies. We must’ve been drinking one a night for a month on end. Hope this smoothie helps curb those peanut buttery cravings. Enjoy! :0)

What a treat this is gonna be! I’m off to make it now, but with carob! & I may sneak some spinich in there…{did you ever throw in greens?}
It was great to see your before pics, & see how much you’ve changed (& come alive!) since making this video! It make me smile to realize that you once had weight issues, too, so you clearly understand the challenges that brings…
…watching your current videos compared to this one is like watchingone at half speed, & one on fast forward! It’s amazing to see the change in your countenance! Makes me wanna get making videos as I shed my fat suit so I can see the difference, not just in pics but in EVERYTHING that getting healthy makes!!!
Can’t wait to try this smoothie, and my daughter couldn’t wait, & is throwing it together right now, with her own variations, of course! {One day I’ll try it as you’ve made it! But not today! Lol!}

Ha ha, she just confessed that she went to make it after reading over my shoulder & seeing I wanted to sneak some greens in, cuz she doesn’t want me to! She was like, “MOM! You DON’T put GREENS in DESSERT!!! & it’s RAW, so we can have dessert for lunch!!!”
Silly girl…

DUDE! Amazing. I feel victim to an office PB Cup today and ended up goggling for a RAW version and found this. WOW, this is awesome. But I may go broke buying Tahini now.

Thanks so much for the awesome compliments on my transformation!! It’s been a fun trip , that’s still goin’ on! There’s always new info comin’ out and new recipes to try so it’s fun process! And now throwin’ more regular excercise into the mix, it’s goin’ great! I hope you and your daughter loved the smoothie and very awesome to hear about her enthusiasm for raw-eats! Those were one of my fave’s back in the day and it’s fun trying to concoct raw-versions of those ol’ faves! I make something VERY similair to this, except I use Cashew Butter instead of Tahini! And I half it down, since I’m only providing for myself. What I do is:
Either soak 1/4 Cup Cashews or use 2 TBSP Cashew Butter.
1 Cup Water
1 Frozen Banana
1 Heaping TBSP Cacao Powder
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 TBSP Flax Seed
1 Date, for sweetness
Blend the cashews in water until smooth, then add the rest of the ingredients and blend! Delicious and rich, just the way I like it. Oh, and I’m bee-gan too! I just like using whole foods to sweeten things instead of pure sugars.
