About Rory
I got started with my raw living journey over 4 years ago, after tasting my first prepared raw meal at the Loving Life Cafe I was hooked! I was truly inspired! Raw foods satisfied my foodie and culinary geek side while simultaneously melding my passion for sustainable living and healthy eating. I set about researching and learning everything I could about this fun new way of eating and enjoyed the culinary challenge of preparing tasty dishes without cooking. Then I began concocting my own recipes, and over the course of a year and three months, I eased comfortably into the 100% raw lifestyle! Switching over to a high raw diet was a fun and tasty journey that brought with it amazing benefits! I’ve lost over 90lbs, rid myself of chronic sinus issues and gained a bunch of energy!
During my journey with raw foods I started sharing some of the simple raw recipes I had created through YouTube videos to help others in their healthy eating adventures. The responses to my videos and passion for sharing healthy living info was so great that I decided to combine my longtime fondness for the culinary world and passion for sustainable living and made teaching these skills my mission! I’ve since been certified in raw and living foods prep by Jody Allen (an amazing raw food chef and teacher with over ten years experience).
Since then I’ve gone on to work with various online raw food communities and have done live recipe demonstrations at Raw Spirit Festivals, the Northeast Organic Farming Associations Conferences, and at various venues around the country! I’ve worked as a raw chef at Catch a Healthy Habit Café in Fairfield, CT. While having an awesome time rockin’ out tasty raw goodness there I also presented numerous workshops and classes at the café demonstrating raw recipe formulating, dessert making, themed cuisine classes, and kombucha brewing.
I’ve also authored Gettin’ Raw with Rawdawg Rory. In this e-book I provide strategies for comfortably transitioning to raw or high raw lifestyle, loads of info on the benefits of raw eats and over 100 tasty and doable recipes!
As always I’m doing my thing, sharing this awesome Tao of munching through my site, numerous videos and with online and in-person raw communities as well as presenting group and personal in home raw food classes!
Wherever you’re at with your healthy living adventures I wish you much success and a lot of fun on your journey! Peace ~ Rory :0)

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and love of all things raw. I am very much looking forward to gleaning knowledge as I travel down my own raw path. And let’s not forget the improved health, radiance from the inside out (hopefully better eyesight) and the new and improved physique.
Blessings to you Rory! You radiate such joy and a zest for life. It is absolutely contagious.

Hello Rory. I have watched the clip several times and with different friends to get them to try it. I am juice feasting right now..but CAN’T WAIT to try your Portebella Burgers.Tho you are spontaneous and unpredictable, we all love it. I say it like it’s a bad thing.. but it’s not. If we all were boring and straightforward this world would be a mundane place.
Anyhow, the reason I am writing is to ask if you would post some pics of this wonderful wife of yours. Many of us “veiwers” are curious to see the brains behind the scenes.
Thanks for another site that encourages the expression of self through the beauty of live foods, and the sharing of it with others.

Hi Rory, I am so proud of you and proud of your mom for listening to you and being brave enough to take the raw food challenge. I know she can do it, and you are a hero for helping her to be more healthy. Please tell your mom that I am very proud of her for doing it and being in your video. Awesome!

Rory, I’m curious if you could point me in the right direction to locate a glass-enamel stock pot to brew kombucha in. Thanks for your help!

Hey Jake! I picked up mine at a department store in with the camping cookware. At Amazon.com, you can find them by searching for glass enamel stockpots, they have a pretty sweet one from Granite Ware(tm)! Best wishes in your brewing adventures! ~ Rory :0)
